AT LIBERTY

New in the neighborhood, my freedom is at stake…

All life has its equation, with constraints, constrictions,
And its prisons…

New in the neighborhood, my strength is at its test…

Is it only one that one has to deal with?
Or is it another?

Am I alone for the first time in my life?
But I guess I have been alone all my life…
Do I find strength in this?

You decide…
I do not have strength for this.

New in the neighborhood
Do I call upon my dearly beloved friends?

Friends that amused me in one form or another,
And I am still alone
Do I want those friends?

Friends that occupied and encased me all my life?

New in the neighborhood,
My desires are in a box.

So sensitive I have become,
I don’t know what they are…

I take my wrest.
